BIKE TAKEAWAY:

Whether you celebrate by riding to coffee with friends or by stopping by a pit stop party on May 19th to celebrate Bike to Work Day, Arlington is a great place to be for Bike Month.

It’s May, and thanks to the County Board, its official—May is bike month! We took the time to highlight some of the many ways you can connect with Arlington by bike with a special calendar. Click through to www.bikearlington.com/bikemonth to get more information on each event.

And even then, we missed some! See below for some great events organized by the library and other social riding groups.

If you’re into exploring by yourself, that’s easy to do, too. Arlington has so many great things to see and places to travel by bike, and thanks to an expanding on-street network and solid trail system, it’s easy to get there by bike. Check out our Maps and Routes page for some ideas.

Happy Bike Month! And hope to see you out there on the streets and trails sometime soon.
