Are you psyched to bike Arlington?
Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 16. And this year, Arlington County will have six pit stops. Morning events will be in Crystal City, Columbia Pike, East Falls Church near the Metro Station, Ballston, and Rosslyn. And in the afternoon, East Falls Church, directly adjacent to the W&OD Trail.
In Arlington, there are miles and miles of off-street trails that make it easy to ride to all six Bike To Work Day pit stops.
Four trails create the Arlington Loop, connecting to all of the six stops. The Mt. Vernon Trail, Four Mile Run Trail, W&OD Trail and the Custis Trail.
If you have a longer commute and want to shorten the bike riding portion, there are many ART and Metrobus options. You can put your bike in the bike rack on the front of the bus or take the bus to a Capital Bikeshare station near your pit stop and ride in for the celebration.
Join over 10,000 area commuters and celebrate bicycling as a clean, fun and healthy way to get to work! Pit Stops throughout the region will offer food, beverages, entertainment.
BTWD is a FREE event. Everyone who registers is entered in the regional raffle to win one of six bicycles. The first 14,000 to register receive a Bike to Work Day T-shirt available at their chosen pit stop.
