This is a Lemond Poprad cyclocross bike. It has an steel frame and 700 x28c tires. This person likes the road bike position and handlebars as well as the quick handling. This person uses pedals with toe-clips so he can ride in regular shoes to make running errands easier. This bike is made for cyclocross racing which is a cross country event where the riders race across open fields, on dirt roads and though mud. One of the differences between this bike and a standard racing bike are the wide tires. Lugged tires are used in the events for traction and are good for snow and slush commuting in the winter. Slick tires can be fitted in the summer months for increased speed. |

This person uses panniers to carry what he needs for work. One is used for work related objects and the other is used for carrying other things home in the evening. These bags attach to a rear rack. Each one in large enough to hold the equivalent of a medium back pack. Many commuters just use one pannier unless they know they will be picking something else up on the way home or they have a lot to carry to the office. This person rides in office clothes for his short ride to work and keeps dress shoes at work. |
