October Bike Book Club
Oct 26 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Do you have a bunch of books that you keep promising yourself you will read one day? Or maybe you have a goal to read one book a month and you just realized it’s October and you haven’t read a book since last October? Well, let’s fix that issue!

BikeArlington in partnership with the Arlington County Library is hosting a monthly Bike Book Club. It’s the perfect event for you if you 1. Love to read 2. Enjoy bicycling, 3. Want to ride your bike with friendly people at a leisurely pace and/or 4. Want to read more books.

We will meet at locations close to a Capital Bikeshare station in case you don’t have a bike then ride to one of the county’s libraries to discuss that month’s book.

Bike Classes: Basic Skills Clinic
Oct 26 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

New this year, the basic skills clinic is designed to give you more opportunities to sharpen your riding skills. So if you’ve completed the Learn to Ride class and want more practice time or are simply looking to improve your riding skills, this class is for you. Certified instructors will lead drills, including starting, stopping, turning, weaving, and gradual breaking.

Students should be able to balance and ride on two pedals.

Students should bring their own bike and helmet. If you’re unable to bring your own bike, email education@waba.org or call 202-518-0524 at least 48 hours prior to the clinic.
