Do you have a bunch of books that you keep promising yourself you will read one day? Or maybe you have a goal to read one book a month and you just realized it’s a new year and you haven’t read a book since last 2018? Well, let’s fix that issue!
BikeArlington in partnership with the Arlington County Library is hosting a monthly Bike Book Club. It’s the perfect event for you if you 1. Love to read 2. Enjoy bicycling, 3. Want to ride your bike with friendly people at a leisurely pace and/or 4. Want to read more books.
We will meet at locations close to a Capital Bikeshare station in case you don’t have a bike then ride to one of the county’s libraries to discuss that month’s book.
Staff from BikeArlington will lead this 3-hour class, designed to teach adults how to ride a bike. Start by learning balance, then each rider proceeds at his or her own pace through starting/stopping, pedaling and turning. The technique is fun, intuitive and very successful, but it takes hard work! Please wear comfortable clothes and bring along a water bottle and snack. Bikes and helmets will be provided. This event takes place indoors. Please register by February 24.
