Have you been convinced by your hardcore bike-in-any-weather coworker or friend to sign up for Bike to Work Day or decided to try biking the two miles to your office instead of sitting in a car for 40 minutes but need help getting started?
Well, have no fear, we’ve got you covered! Come to Arlington’s first Bike to Work Day Interest Party at Heavy Seas Alehouse in Rosslyn
You’ll meet and mingle with other people biking to work for the first time or new to biking. BikeArlington staff will be there to:
- Assist you with mapping a safe route to work.
- Share tips about how to carry your stuff to work, and.
- Provide helpful resources to help make your commute fun and easy
Complimentary refreshments will be provided along with the option to purchase drinks at a discounted price.
Registration is free but required for this event. It’s the perfect event for anyone new to Bike to Work Day or new to biking. People of all ages are welcome.
Getting to the Event
The event is at Heavy Seas Alehouse in Rosslyn, which is served by transit walking, biking, Capital Bikeshare, and ride-share. Use Car Free Near Me to see all of your transportation options.

Meet up with your neighbors, coworkers, and first timers at one of the 115 regional pit stops to jump start your Friday with some fun. Bike to Work Day is a FREE event and open to all area commuters whether you’re new to riding or ride every day.
Arlington hosts a bustling 10 pit stops around the County (morning and afternoon) to make it easy for you to join the fun no matter which route you ride.
Each pit stop offers a unique experience and gives participants an opportunity to snag some giveaways, get your bike tuned up, mingle with area businesses and organizations, and enjoy some tunes from our favorite DJs. You’re welcome to visit one stop or multiple stops throughout the day,
Pit stops are located in Rosslyn, Ballston, Columbia Pike, Shirlington, East Falls Church, Crystal City, Army National Guard Readiness, and Gravelly Point (new this year).
