Ride for Pie
Feb 1 @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Rescheduled from January 18 to February 1 due to inclement weather.

We’re partnering with Washington Area Bicyclist Association’s Women & Bicycles Program for this event.

Curious about how to keep riding through the winter? Currently riding outside but unsure how in the heck to keep doing it in February when it is really cold? Have some great tips learned from experience or wisdom from others? In partnership with Bike Arlington, we’re gathering to talk through some options to keep riding outside safe and pleasant when it’s cold! We’re going for a short ride in Arlington, cover some winter riding tips and tricks for you and your bicycle, and then go find pie to celebrate!*

Winter Bike to Work Day
Feb 14 @ 7:00 am – 10:00 am

It’s cold outside but that doesn’t mean you have to give up riding your bike. In fact, we want to encourage you to warm up to cold- weather biking on International Winter Bike to Work Day.

This year we will have our pit stop at Gravelly Point on the Mount Vernon Trail. No matter where you’re going (whether to work, school, errands, or a casual ride), stop by to say hello and grab some BikeArlington and Capital Bikeshare swag.

But wait… there’s more!
This year, we have expanded and added more ways to enjoy Winter Bike to Work Day. In addition to our traditional pit stop at Gravelly Point, we have partnered with four local coffee shops around Arlington. Simply bike to the coffee shop of your choice, show your Eventbrite ticket (on your smartphone or printed out) to receive a discount on a hot beverage or free pastry (details below). You’ll also be able to pick up BikeArlington swag at these coffee shop pit stops as well.  Click on register to learn more about the discounts and to register for Winter Bike to Work Day.
