Washington Boulevard Trail Opening
Nov 30 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Join us on Friday, Nov. 30 as County leaders and project partners celebrate a new link in Arlington’s bike/pedestrian trail network!

This project constructed a 10-foot-wide paved bicycle and pedestrian trail along the west side of Washington Boulevard. The new trail section links with the project’s first phase, built between Arlington Boulevard and Walter Reed Drive, and provides a new north-south connection between the Arlington Boulevard Trail and Columbia Pike.

The event will take place along the trail on the east side of Towers Park, near the corner of 9th Street South and South Rolfe Street. After remarks from our speakers, Capital Bikeshare bikes will be available for attendees to try out the new trail!

Let’s Ride to the Hains Point 100
Dec 16 @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am
Let's Ride to the Hains Point 100 @ Starbucks - Crystal Drive | Arlington | Virginia | United States
Join BikeArlington and WABA as we gather for a fun and educational community ride from Crystal City to the annual Hains Point 100 event at East Potomac Park. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about and practice our Fall/Winter biking, finding safe routes, group riding etiquette, and more in a safe and fun environment. Bring your bike/helmet, weather-appropriate clothing, and your questions!

What is the Hains Point 100 you ask? The HP100 is a fun, annual volunteer-run event to raise awareness and funds for WABA’s Women & Bicycles program. The HP100 event is free, though you may register and/or make a donation if you like. There’s always a good turnout of folks of all skill levels. There will also be great door prizes and giveaways.
