Babes on Bikes is a group of Virginia women who enjoy bicycling and meet regularly to bike the wonderful paved trails and quiet roads in northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland. They ride every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, usually from Arlington, VA.

Recumbent Club
Washington's Happily Independent Recumbent Lovers - WHIRL (Washington's Happily Independent Recumbent Lovers) is a group of recumbent riders that meets weekly for a 24 mile ride through Rock Creek Park. This ride has been ongoing since 1991. After the ride, some of the riders go out for lunch afterwards at a local cafe in Garrett Park.

Washington Area Bicyclists In Tandem Society (WABITS) - WABITS are a group of tandemmers from the Metro DC Area. We schedule tandem rides throughout the year. They are associated with Potomac Pedalers Touring Club.
Off Road Club
Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts (MORE) - Mission is to promote regional mountain biking opportunities through trail maintenance, advocacy, and education.
Racing Clubs
Squadra Coppi is focused on racing, rather than touring. Many rides end with coffee at the Java Shack in Arlington.
Artemis is a road-biking and racing club, dedicated to promoting women in competitive cycling. They race, train, teach, and work hard to get riders to reach full potential while embracing the diversity of their members.
DC Velo is a well-respected mid-Atlantic racing club.
DC Randonneurs, founded in 2004, sponsors randonneur (endurance bicycling) events in the Washington, D.C. area.
MidAtlantic Bicycle Racing Association (MABRA) is the organization that sets the rules for all local bike racing. They issue race permits and keep the most current schedule of local criteriums, road races, and time trials.
