Arlington Bike Lanes Get More Counters!

Counter Install

Arlington County has recently expanded its network of automated bike counters again! Over the past couple weeks, the Department of Environmental Services has been hard at work installing more bicycle and pedestrian counters along off-street paths and at select bike lane locations, which are a first for the County.  Click here for a full map of counter locations in Arlington County!

All counters run 24/7 and the trail counters can even distinguish between a person on a bicycle and a person on foot. Learn more about how Arlington County uses this data and how you can get involved in the National Bicycle & Pedestrian Documentation Project.
