Living in Arlington means there are many different (and great!) ways to get around. Whether you’re on two feet, two wheels or behind a steering wheel, everyone needs to be a PAL to safely share streets.
Being a PAL means being:
- Predictable – travel in a predictable way; don’t make sudden unexpected moves
- Alert – pay attention to your surroundings and to others
- Lawful – obey traffic laws, whether in a car, on a bike, or on foot
Hey PAL! We’re building a community-driven movement to make Arlington County’s streets safer — and we need your help. Join your neighbors for safer streets and become a volunteer PAL Ambassador. They’ve got bike billboards, block parties, pizza nights, — all fun and all free. Get connected.
