October’s start means there can be no denying—it’s fall! And that means there is great biking weather to be had. So, bust out your favorite sweater and join us for a ride.

We worked with WABA to create a series of rides that help you explore some of Arlington’s signature neighborhoods in a whole new way—whether you work, live or play there. Just like our other Community Rides, the routes are short and are an inclusive space for riders of all levels to explore the city. Plus, we always end somewhere social so we can hang after the ride.

There are three rides for you to explore this month, so the only question is: Which one will we see you at? Maybe all three?

Secrets of Crystal City Header Block

October 8, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

Featuring outdoor bike tools, alligators, pioneering female computer scientists & a maker space.
This ride is going to be a lot of fun and we’re ending at Tech Shop for a tour. These folks have a machine that can cut metal WITH WATER. Its nuts—and they’re super community friendly. Plus, did we mention the alligators?

Secrets of Shirlington Header Block

October 14, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

Featuring secret trails, the best North/South route, stuff Dave Grohl wrote songs about & Phoenix Bikes.
This ride will start at the Virginia Square and we’ll travel together down to check out some neat areas in South Arlington, including the excellent Phoenix Bikes and maybe, just maybe, sneak a peek at Arlington’s new brewery…

Secrets of Ballston Header Text

October 28, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

Featuring a hidden cemetery, the best Halloween decorations you’ve ever seen & baked treats off the main street.
Costumes are definitely encouraged for maximum fun, but this ride will head past some excellently absurd Halloween decorations and it’s always good to match. We’ll wrap up at a place to get some treats, of course.
